Why Choose Ann?

In 1992, Ann trained at The Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA and earned her certification in 1993 along with her NCBTMB & AMTA membership. Upon graduating from school, she opened her massage practice; Mussel Therapy at Acupuncture and Associated Therapies in Mashpee, MA. At the same time, she worked one day a week at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA at the Be Well Center servicing the hospital staff and some patients with massage therapy. She also did house calls and office calls. Her many referrals were from clients, chiropractors, personal trainers and beauty & wellness practitioners. During her time with Acupuncture and Associated Therapies, she witnessed many extraordinary eastern treatments. Being inspired by her colleague and these modalities, she attended The New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, MA studying traditional Chinese medicine. Her studies were cut short because she moved to Europe to live and get married.

Ann returned to The States in 1999 with her then newborn daughter, Claire and started her practice again in Osterville, MA at East Bay Acupuncture until Kate Kahn, LAc moved to western MA. She resumed her house calls and practiced out of Summerfield Spa and Willowbend Country Club both in Mashpee, MA since her return from Europe and to present day. She also worked out of headlines Salon and Day Spa in Falmouth, MA until it was sold. Being in the Spa world brought Ann to train in 2001 in Advanced Aesthetics and become certified in 2002 at the Blaine Beauty School in Hyannis, MA. She also practiced out of Skincare by RuthAnn in Osterville, MA and learned a lot about the benefits of using organic skincare products. Ann continues to stay updated through continuing education programs and has studied many massage and spa techniques from some of the great master teachers in the states and the Netherlands.
